Delete your JOBSTUFF account
JOBSTUFF is operated by Chachi Software. This page explains how to ask us to delete your account and the personal data attached to it, what we erase, and what we are required to keep.
From the app
The fastest route, and the one that confirms it is really you, because you are already signed in.
- Open JOBSTUFF and sign in.
- Workers: go to Profile. Businesses: go to Settings.
- Choose "Delete my account". We send a code to your verified number to confirm it is you, then show you the date your data will be erased.
By email
Use this if you can no longer sign in. Send the request from the email address on the account, or tell us the phone number it uses, so we can check the request is genuine.
Subject: Account deletion request
Please include:
- The phone number on the account, in +63 9XXXXXXXXX form, and the email address if you set one.
- Whether it is a worker account, a business account, or both.
- That you are asking for deletion, not just to stop receiving notifications.
We may ask you to confirm one detail we already hold — a recent shift, or a code sent to the number on the account — before we act. We do this so nobody else can delete your account, and we will never ask you for a password or a payment.
What happens next, and when
- We confirm your request within 5 working days.
- Your account keeps working normally for 30 days, and is erased at the end of them. Those 30 days are a grace period: cancel at any point inside it — in the app, or by email — and your account carries on as if you had never asked. We tell you the exact date.
- After that date the erasure cannot be undone. You are signed out of every device, and you cannot sign back in.
- If you have a booked shift that has not happened yet, or money we have not paid you, we finish that first — you are still paid what you are owed — and the 30 days run from when it is settled.
What we erase
- Your name, phone number, email address, and profile photo.
- The one-way fingerprint of the government ID you verified with, and which type of ID it was. We never stored the number itself, and we never store a PhilSys Number at all.
- Your date of birth, residency status, and the areas you were willing to work in.
- The content of your messages to businesses, your rating comments, and your support conversations.
- Your payout account details.
- Your password and every signed-in session.
What we keep, and why
We anonymise you rather than delete the record: the shift and the payment still exist, without your name on them.
- Financial records — shifts worked, invoices, payouts and ledger entries — are kept for 10 years. Philippine tax law (BIR) requires it, and those records are also how either of us proves you were paid.
- Anonymous, non-identifying figures such as the number of shifts filled at a venue.
- Anything we are required to keep for an open dispute, an investigation, or a legal claim, for as long as that lasts.
None of what we keep carries your name, phone number, email or photo, and none of it can be linked back to you by us.
